FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - The Hogs made sure a rare February non-conference game was not a letdown.

Junior Rotnei Clarke scored 14 points to lead the Arkansas Razorbacks (16-9) to a 94-55 rout over the Florida A&M Rattlers (11-15), Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena on Wednesday.  The Hogs finished the non-conference season 10-0.  The loss ends the Rattlers four-game winning streak.

"I am certainly happy to close our our non-conference schedule that way," said Arkansas Razorbacks Head Coach John Pelphrey.  "Florida A&M had won four straight games and was playing their best basketball of the season."

The Hogs took control early, jumping out to a 27-4 lead.  They extended that lead to 45-11 by halftime.  The Razorbacks defense held the Rattlers to just 14 percent shooting from the field in the first 20 minutes.

"I thought that our defense played well in the first half and that the team was unselfish across the board," said Pelphrey.  "It was nice to be able to play everybody."

Arkansas shot 54 percent for the entire game, including 11-24 from three point range.  Marshawn Powell, Delvon Johnson and Jeff Peterson joined Clarke, scoring in double-figures.

Avery Moore scored 11 points to lead the Rattlers.

Arkansas will go back on the road Saturday night to play the Southeastern Conference West Division leading Alabama Crimson Tide.
