STOUTLAND, Mo. -- The Missouri State Highway Patrol says a train hit and killed a pedestrian about 9 a.m. Tuesday. Neighbors say Lois Grimes, 77, lived by the main line in Stoutland for many years. She was trying to cross both sets of tracks through town. Investigators say no one knows why Grimes did not see or hear the train.
