Crime Stoppers appeal of the week: Identify jewelry store robber

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Crime Stoppers and the Springfield Police Department ask for help identifying the man who robbed a store at Battlefield Mall last fall.  The robbery was on Nov. 14, 2010, shortly before 6 p.m. at Zales Jewelry Store.

The robber asked to see a ring from the case.  He then grabbed the ring from the employee’s hand and fled from the mall through the entrance near Ruby Tuesday restaurant.  The ring contained a 2-carat diamond valued at approximately $20,000.

The robber is described as black, in his late 20s, about 6 feet tall, with a thin build. He was clean cut with no tattoos or piercings.  He wore a cream colored sweater and dark pants.
