SPRINGFIELD - Dorial Green-Beckham is getting a lot of attention from college coaches this basketball season. However, they aren't there to see his high-flying dunks.
Add Arkansas Razorbacks Head Coach Bobby Petrino to the list of college football coaches watching Springfield Hillcrest High's all-everything athlete shoot hoops. Petrino had a good seat to see the Hornets beat the Waynesville Tigers 59-38 Tuesday night. Green-Beckham scored 27 points.
The junior wide receiver has caught the attention of every major college football program in the country. The USA Today all-American caught 78 passes for 1,706 yards and 15 touchdowns in 2010. Green-Beckham also set Missouri all-time career records with 4,154 yards and 51 touchdowns to end the season.
Green-Beckham led the Hornets to a Class 5 State basketball championship in his sophomore season. He also captured state titles in the 100m dash and the long jump. The high school sports website MaxPreps.com named him its high school athlete of the year.
