COLUMBIA, Mo. - The "Fastest 40 Minutes" coasted to an easy victory.
Michael Dixon scored 15 points to lead the No. 13 Missouri Tigers (17-3, 3-2) to an 87-54 win against the Iowa State Cyclones (14-6, 1-4) at the Mizzou Arena.
Missouri raced out to a 48-26 halftime lead, despite committing nin Mie first-half turnovers. Missouri's defense picked up the Tigers offense. Mizzou forced a season-high 19 Iowa State turnovers. The defense limited the Cyclones to just 4-22 shooting from behind the three-point arc.
Mizzou guard Marcus Denmon added 13 points. Ricardo Ratliffe scored 12 points and six blocks for the Tigers.
Jake Anderson led Iowa State with 20 points.
Missouri will not play again till Saturday at Texas.
