COLUMBIA, Mo. -- University of Missouri Tigers guard Marcus Denmon heated up the Mizzou Arena on a cold night.  The junior guard matched his career high with 27 points to lead the 15th-ranked Tigers (15-2, 1-1) to a Big 12 77-69 victory against the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers (13-2, 1-1).  Mizzou bounced back from a road loss at Colorado on Saturday.

Denmon's night started fast.  The Lee's Summit native scored 11 of the Tigers' first 13 points to open the game.  Denmon then sparked a 9-0 run at the beginning of the second half to extend a 3-point lead to double digits.

Ricardo Ratliffe and Laurence Bowers both added 12 points and seven rebounds for Missouri.  Guard Michael Dixon scored eight points.

Toney McCray led Nebraska with 17 points.

The Tigers return to the road on Saturday to play the 13th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies before a Big Monday showdown against Kansas State at Mizzou Arena.
