Black Friday shoppers should do homework before hitting the stores

Prices not always exclusive to Friday morning sales

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – You’ll find plenty of deals on Black Friday. But you don’t necessarily have to wait or leave your house to find a bargain.

Many of the sale items promoted in Wal-Mart’s Black Friday Ad are electronics. But a comparison of some of the items in the sales circular with the current online prices shows they are exactly the same.  One of those is a 46” LED LCD TV. It seems like a steal at $898 - but it's only available from 5 to 11 Friday morning.  Or is it?  We discovered that same television on walmart.com Wednesday for $898, with free shipping.

The bottom line is shop around online before you shop around in stores.  You may be able to save just as much money and lot more time.

Shoppers can check Black Friday ads on multiple places on the internet, including Black Friday 2010.
