SPRINGFIELD — A full-throttle event to benefit people in need along Commercial Street.
Riders hit 40-miles of open road as a part of this year's Victory Ride. All of the proceeds go toward the Victory Mission which making sure families in the area have food on the table.
Organizers say they're feeling a one-two punch from the economy this year.
This was the 16th year for the Victory ride.
Victory Mission started in 1976 when Rev. and Mrs. Everett Cook served sandwiches and coffee to area homeless people.
