SPRINGFIELD, Mo — Nearly 200 North Point Church members rolled up their sleeves Saturday to help an organization that takes homeless kids off the streets.
Among their many tasks, the volunteers painted apartments, refurbished a gazebo and planted new grass.
It was all for The Kitchen Rare Breed --Youth Services Program, which keeps high-risk teens safe and off Springfield's streets.
While the projects were being done, the youth were bussed to Incredible Pizza to eat and hangout
On the second Saturday of every month, North Point Church partners with a local community organization to offer a helping hand.
The materials for this project were purchased from donations brought in by church members.
