Ingredients2 cupsflour1 teaspoonbaking powder1/2 teaspoonbaking soda1/2 teaspoonsalt1/2 cupwalnuts, chopped1/2 cupcherries, candied1/2 cupbutter, softened2eggs1 cupsugar1 teaspoonvanilla1 cupapples, diced
Directions Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9 x 5 loaf pan and set aside. Mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and nuts. Then, in another medium sized bowl, cream together the sugar, butter and one of the eggs until smooth. Beat in the second egg and vanilla. Stir in the apples and cherries. Blend in the flour and stir until flour is just moistened. Pour into the greased and floured pan and bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let stand in the pan for 10 minutes after removing from the oven and un-mold. Cool, slice and eat.
